What Are 4-Leg Chain Slings Used For?

4-leg chain slings are perfect for lifting large, awkward, or uneven loads where load control is critical. The extra legs provide superior load stability compared to 1-, 2-, or 3-leg slings, helping to minimize tilt and swing — essential in construction, shipbuilding, precast, and fabrication.

FAQs for 4-Leg Chain Slings

Q1: What is a 4-leg chain sling used for?
A: 4-leg chain slings are used to lift large, heavy, or unevenly shaped loads. They offer maximum load stability by distributing weight across four lifting points, reducing swing and tilt during lifting operations.

Q2: Are 4-leg chain slings adjustable?
A: Yes. Many 4-leg chain slings include adjustable grab hooks that allow you to shorten or control leg lengths for better load balance and control.

Q3: Do your 4-leg chain slings meet safety standards?
A: Absolutely. All of our chain slings are assembled and tested in Houston, TX, and meet or exceed ASME B30.9 standards for overhead lifting. Each sling is tagged and traceable.
